This might be my favourite festive project this year!

@sampsej was inspired by @crack_the_shutters ‘s viral reel and asked me to create something similar for her home. I used a tension rod to hold it all up and loaded it with freshly cut pine, fir and eucalyptus. Then finished it with some twinkly lights, decs and velvet bows.

I had a brilliant day yesterday running a wreath workshop at a local care home in the afternoon (unfortunately no pictures as I don’t have the residents permission) and then a festive evening with a lovely trio of ladies, who all made themselves a gorgeous wreath for their front doors!

Made without floral foam (which is a micro plastic) and bursting with British blooms this was designed to look like it’s always grown there, but actually it was free standing and after the ceremony it was moved to frame the marquee entrance.
On Friday morning I carefully deconstructed the pillars and made bouquets for the couple to give to their guests - this is just one of the practices I use to ensure I’m working as sustainably as possible with as a little waste as I can manage.

For a gentleman who loved his bike 🚴🤍
Wild and free Derbyshire flowers and foliage adorned this bike wheel to make a unique and personal tribute to Brian.
I added apples on the branch and berries into the arrangement as a nod to his career as a nutritionist.
I also filled his bike shoes with matching flowers to adorne the foot of his coffin.
I used no plastic and as always, no floral foam meaning these flowers were as kind to the planet as can be.

For a gentleman who loved his bike 🚴🤍
Wild and free Derbyshire flowers and foliage adorned this bike wheel to make a unique and personal tribute to Brian.
I added apples on the branch and berries into the arrangement as a nod to his career as a nutritionist.
I also filled his bike shoes with matching flowers to adorne the foot of his coffin.
I used no plastic and as always, no floral foam meaning these flowers were as kind to the planet as can be.

We are all used to seeing neat lettering and perfect dome shaped arrangements at funerals but they are not the only choice!
These beautiful flowers were grown just 3 miles from my studio by the wonderfully talented @hollybrookflowerfarm and arranged by me to look like a wild and whimsical meadow.
